I am leading 2 workshops and a Vinyasa Class at Mount Yoga in Mt. Manganui in the Bay of Plenty. I have never released Unleash the Wildfire so I am really excited to be bringing this workshop to the Bay of Plenty. Here is a list of what I will be teaching while I am at Mount Yoga.

Unleash the Wildfire:

Unleash the Wildfire is an Asana and breath-focused practice where we will ignite our bodies and develop power and inner strength to reach our true potential. This practice is about using the building blocks of asanas and using them to create the ability to fly. We will learn that arm balances are not just the realm of the muscular or athletic but are an accessible practice where everyone is able to learn to recruit the body and lift off. Although this practice is designed to be challenging, it is taught at a pace and attention to detail where all levels of practice can find confidence to progress their practice and have some fun doing it.

The workshop progresses through asana, pranayama/kriya and culminates in learning the intricacies of postures like Astavakrasana (Eight-Angle pose), Eka Pada Koundinyasana 1&2, and some interesting transitions through Bakasana (Crow Pose).

Come and experience the Power of Change and how Yoga can take you on a path of discovery and unlock your true potential. You are welcome to join in other Yoga Fire workshops or you can attend this workshop separately. I look forward to sharing this journey with you.

The Fire Within is an asana and pranayama practice where we learn to create the power, focus, and heat to burn away our doubts and live an exponential life. We will explore ways to incorporate Kapalabahti (Breath of Fire) into our practice and ignite change throughout our bodies. The practice is strong but is designed to be accessible to all levels so whether you are new to yoga or an experienced yogi, there will be a practice applicable for you. We will develop power and confidence deep within ourselves so that we can live the life we were destined for. At the completion of the practice, we will do a silent meditation and integrate the asanas with our breath and mind so that we can leave empowered and ready to take our practice off the mat and into the world.

Come and experience the Power of Change and how Yoga can take you on a path of discovery and unlock your true potential.

Within the Embers:

Within the Embers is yin-inspired class is about going deep and releasing the tension and finding the calming energy in our practice. We will work through the shoulders, hips and spine and help release the deeper recesses of the body. As the practice progresses and the fires of life begin to die down, we can harness this subtle energy and let it flow throughout our bodies, nourishing and restoring ourselves. As we come to the end of the practice, we will work through some pranayama practices that nurture our bodies and bring about calm and balance. Practice will conclude with a mediation practice to integrate the effects of the mind, body and breath so that we can emerge relaxed, focused, and ready to make 2019 the time to be in the present and live the life we are destined for.

This workshop is for all levels and can be practiced by new comers and experienced yogis looking to slow down and be revitalized. You are welcome to join in the previous Yoga Fire workshops or you can attend this workshop separately. I look forward to sharing this journey with you.

Finding Space: Let's Get Hippy

A common request in yoga classes is doing poses that focus on the hips. This workshop will focus on the pelvis and SI joints and teach us to balance, strengthen, and stabilize in order to create a unified experience in the body.  This workshop is open to anyone searching for poses that can be used to safely stretch and strengthen the hips.  

What you can expect, is a workshop that gives you practical ways to focus on inner workings of postures that you will see in yoga classes and learn to do them with integration and strength as the focus.  So instead of just opening the hips and potentially creating injuries in the future; we stretch and strengthen, as a 2 part system.

This workshop is open to all yoga levels and is a great way to learn deeper awareness in the body.  Added bonus, learn to release stress and emotion and see how you can leave refreshed, open, aware, and ready to take on the world with a renewed mind, body, and spirit.

Myself and the Loft Studio, offering a fun and exciting way to learn about Raw and Fermented Foods, Essential Oils and to have a relaxing day adding gentle, restorative yoga to the mix.

We have an amazing lineup of people and businesses joining us for this event:

  • Angeleen Lewers from RAW CAKES is going to be doing a talk and sharing about the power and deliciousness of Raw foods and how to incorporate more of them into your life
  • Kaye van der Straaten from K4 and she will be talking about Kombucha and fermented foods and how they are vital to your health and vitality
  • Marita Maeland and Kristy Meyer will share their passion for doTERRRA ESSENTIAL OILS and how to add this powerful plant medicine to your life. You will be introduced to how you can get a one-on-one private consultation with the ZYTO machine for determining which oils your body needs at this time. (a private 20 min consult can be arranged for an added cost).
  • Tim Seutter, our Manager and senior instructor, will take you through a restorative yoga and meditation practice to help calm the mind, gently stretch the body and to help de-stress.

This is an action-packed day that will educate, inspire and will help create a new way of thinking, eating, living, and stretching the body. This 4 week workshop series is for anyone who would like to introduce yoga to your life.  We will start at the beginning and introduce you to the yoga postures and breathing exercises so that you can learn the practice and feel empowered in your mind, body, and spirit.  We begin on February 26, from 9:30-10:30am, and over the next 4 weeks learn how yoga can become an integral part of our lives. 

This workshop is for anyone who is new to yoga, hasn't practiced yoga in a long time, or anyone looking to explore the deeper meanings of why we should include yoga in our lives.

It will run for 4 weeks and the cost is $60.  All attendees will be given a recorded yoga class to supplement the practice and give you something to work on between classes.

Stretch and CHILL

I am doing a Koha yoga event for men and women to come and learn how to add yoga to your life. We will be doing this outside, at 49 Manawa Drive. You can come down and find out how Yoga can change your life, have a beer/Kombucha with a mate, and create a community of people who stretch, and support each other. It will be a 45 minute session, just enough to get the body feeling great and clear the mind for an awesome weekend.

This event will be broadcast LIVE on Facebook so if you would like to join in through that, it is open to all!

There are no egos, no worries about how flexible or inflexible you are. This is about doing yoga and having a beer/Kombucha afterwards. Beginners are highly encouraged to show up...This is open to anyone who wants to attend, who follows these rules.

Here are the rules:
1. Koha
2. Bring ONE beer/Kombucha to have AFTER the session to build community and chat. This isn’t about getting a six pack and downing the lot, it’s about enjoyment and hanging out after, sharing stories and good times.
3. Have fun and feel great
